Wish I lived closer and could drop off some supplies. Since I can’t, I donated $. Hope you get lots of donations.

'As beautiful as she is sweet, kind and smart’, best describes this lovely lady. Fifteen month old Gemma Dos is a well behaved young girl who knows commands of sit, down & shake, walks well on leash and absolutely adores her humans. This gorgeous girl loves to play with her canine companions and has proven to get along extremely well with her new found friends at Godbey Creek Canine. This boxer beauty comes to us with plenty of ‘cat experience’……Gemma’s best friend was a cat.

We prefer to place this young girl with someone who has breed experience, a companion pet and a (physical) fenced in yard. A fenced in yard is a must as is someone who can spend plenty of time with this 55 lbs. girl.

If you'd like to meet this sweet girl, please submit an application:

She is beautiful!! Hope she gets a loving home! I had a boxer back in the 80's.....named him Hulk....gave him to my boyfriend, who was a horse trainer...when he moved back to Illinois, he took Hulk with him....

Boxers are such good family dogs...My son has one..Best dog ever

I love her. 💓

Will she be spending Valentines with y’all??? 😍

She is beautiful! Prayers for the perfect family for this doll.

Can you give any details about her?

She's beautiful!!!!!!!! I've had several boxers. I just don't think I would have the time a boxer needs in an owner. They have lots of energy.

What a beautiful girl she is. Hope she finds a wonderful home.

Beautiful pup, nothing like a boxer, for a family dog

Beautiful baby

Absolutely precious!

Love that sweet smile💕

We had a really good response to our post about a month ago for some donated items for the rescue. Recently we've been super busy with even more rescues, surrenders, and strays. Everything from a cute litter of puppies, dogs less than a year old, and adult dogs.

Staying on top of keeping our kennels spotless to maintain a healthy environment for these pups is a never-ending task. Here's a list of items we're hoping folks might be able to donate. Of course monetary donations are very appreciated too.

Clorox Bleach
Tide Pods (seriously...the laundry never ends)
Spray Bottles (they get some pretty heavy use so their life span in our environment is less than the usual household
Top Performance 256 Cherry this scent seems to to the trick to keeping odor down. If there is a cheaper option for a different scent on Amazon which there sometimes is feel free to get the other.
-(100pk) 10mL oral Syringes we use these for deworming

We appreciate any/all donations to keep everyone happy and healthy! Items can be dropped off during rescue hours of operation or shipped to our address (1147 Godbey Road, Mocksville, NC 27028

“What a great little dude this guy is” exclaimed one of our caregivers. Super sweet Russel is ‘pure fun’ and quite the ladies’ man. He is so excited to be out and playing with the girls and made quick friends with five of our favorite females in no time flat as he ran and played with them. He's also good with cats. Russell will turn a year old around the first of March, weighs 44 lbs. and is doing well on the leash. His little intelligent face watches everything you do and he settled right in with Godbey Creek Canine without missing a beat. Just pet this little guy and he goes over on his back for a belly rub. And, Russell keeps his kennel spotless.

Russell likes his bath, loves to rub his head in the towel, adores every human he meets and cannot wait for his next car ride. He is afraid of thunder.

If you are interested in this ~11 month old, please submit an application at the link below: www.wagtopia.com/pages/petsearch#/search/pet?id=1627956&name=Russell

Beautiful Onyx came to Godbey Creek Canine from a local shelter. This four month old, 25 lbs. girl is a typical lab …..full of love, hugs, wiggles and playfulness. This 25 lbs. lab mix girl can hardly wait to meet her next canine and, as is typical with the lab, adores every dog she meets. Onyx will have all vaccinations and be spayed by Godbey Creek Canine before she is adopted.
If you are looking for a beautiful Labrador retriever, we invite you to apply and meet Onyx! We do remind you that infants require much time, attention and supervision.
To be considered, please submit an application: www.wagtopia.com/pages/petsearch/#/search/pet?id=1612234&name=Onyx

Big, tall and handsome Max is available for a new home and new family. This 100 lbs., five year old love bug is laid back, enjoys short walks and loves the comforts of indoor living. In addition to treats, he enjoys his indoor playmates and plays well with others. He’s great with the kids and cats, does well on the leash with a harness, loves to ride in the car and received a clean bill of health from his veterinarian. This gentle giant, believed to have some St. Bernhard in his heritage, is seeking just the right family! Handsome Max can be reactive on the leash when encountering other dogs in the neighborhood.

Max was adopted from Godbey Creek last summer and is being returned ONLY because of extenuating circumstances within the family that has nothing to do with Max.

If you are interested in meeting Max, please submit an application: www.wagtopia.com/pages/petsearch#/search/pet?id=1623647&name=Max

Sweet Olive has been with us for awhile and is still waiting for her forever home. One of our caring staff members took Olive to the park this morning and also stopped by the PetSuperMarket on their way back to the rescue. She had such a good time and we sure hope one day VERY soon that she will have more of these kinds of outings when she finds her forever home. Such a good girl!

We would love nothing better than to find Olive a home. She's been patiently waiting for some time now and she's such a sweet dog. Feel free to SHARE this post in hopes of helping us find her that home...
When this beauty arrived, she was hours from being sepsis as a rotted segment of corn cob lodged between her upper and lower intestine. After a serious operation and a slow introduction back to a normal routine, this now two year old, , approximately 30 lbs. Australian Cattle dog mix is as good as new.
This gorgeous princess adores her caregivers, loves to ride in the car where she’s ‘the perfect angel’ and enjoys the companionship of cats. Given she is very selective about her canine companions, getting along with cats was a surprise to us but it seemed to come quite natural to Ms. Olive. Ms. O enjoys her toys, running in the pasture and walking on a leash. She’s a solid, dedicated companion for the right person who can see the true beauty in her and who leads an active lifestyle. Because Ms. Olive can be active, she isn’t recommended with small children. Olive is fully house trained. This gorgeous girl does require a fenced in yard. As always, we introduce our pets to any possible future siblings before they go home for a foster to adopt trial.

If you'd like to meet Ms. Olive, please submit an adoption application: www.wagtopia.com/pages/petsearch#/search/pet?id=1603694&name=Olive

Jewel aka JuJu, an adorable mini Australian Cattle Dog, has found the perfect ‘forever home’. She told her new family early on that she loves to be outdoors and has recently ‘found her bark’, especially when awakened from napping by a UPS delivery.

JuJu’s favorite things include a snuggle with mom or dad any time of day, eating dinner from her ‘snuffle mat’ and playing with her hedgehog (which she personally chose during a recent pet store visit),

This beautiful ‘mini’ Australian Cattle Dog loves going on walks in her neighborhood, walking local trails and, perhaps most of all, going for a car ride. “She’s done very well meeting new people and other dogs on our walks” said her mom. “She found her voice recently and alerts us of Amazon and UPS trucks that interrupt her daily slumber” shared her mom. “We are 100% ready to make the adoption…………we can’t imagine our life without this little pup” said her mom.

CONGRATULATIONS Jewel!!! And, THANK YOU to her new family for providing her with such a wonderful home. 🥰🐾🐾

While these infants have the ‘cuteness factor in overload’, it is the temperament of the mother that would win over anyone. The mother of these adorable little darlings is as humble and sweet as any dog we’ve ever met. Her temperament is absolutely excellent…..hence, the ‘sweet’ names we gave each of her babies.

If the babies follow suit with their mom’s temperament, these will be fantastic pets. Mom is a lab / retriever mix and Dad is a traveling salesman — we are guessing he’s an Aussie mix. We anticipate the puppies to be about 50 to 60 pounds when fully grown; but, this is only a guess. Additional photos of each puppy are available on Wagtopia.com and we've added a few more here and included names in the Comments.

This litter of beautiful babies will be available for a meet and greet with pre-approved applicants by appointment beginning soon.

If you are interested in adopting one of these little sweethearts, please apply at www.wagtopia.com/pages/petsearch#/search/org?id=3141720&name=Godbey+Creek+Canine+Rescue,+Inc.&page=1 ……………. Successful applicants will have a solid veterinarian history and be in a position to provide care for infants.

Zane is a 43 lbs. four year old who is intelligent, playful, loyal and protective.

Having spent most of his time at home with Mom, this super handsome pet loves spending time outside in his big open yard warming his bones and doing a little squirrel and bird watching. While Zane loves being close to his human, he sleeps quietly all night without a peep once you tell him he isn’t allowed in the human bed. Zane gets excited when Dad arrives home from work and adores his Dad.

An intelligent pet, Zane knows the sit, down, speak, roll over, walk and out commands. Zane has done very well playing with other dogs when boarding or at daycare and he will bring you his toys when he wants to play. Most of all, he loves for you to throw the toy so he can bring it back to his human. When it’s time to go outside to potty or Zane wants fresh water or food, he lets Mom know.

Fiercely loyal to his owners, Zane is a true companion who loves nothing better than to have his ears rubbed and to be close to his human so he has plenty of physical touch. Zane’s favorite things are cuddling, playing tug with his toy, doing small tricks for treats and giving kisses.

In addition to being a loyal companion, Zane is protective of his human. “He has a protective streak which is good and can be frustrating”. His background of having been chained early in life by a roadway makes him anxious around loud cars, walkers on the streets, etc. We recommend he be crated and/or leashed early on when meeting visitors to the home and guests. And, we recommend a home with only older children. The family who surrendered him indicated he is Australian Shepherd/beagle mix - but only a DNA test would tell for sure. He certainly is all kinds of cute!

If you're interested in adopting Zane and would like to meet him, please submit an application: www.wagtopia.com/pages/petsearch#/search/pet?id=1620985&name=Zane

Brock was fostered for several months and is perfectly house trained and crate trained. “Brock is a perfect gentleman” said his foster mom as she described him. Sadly, mom is moving and this two year old is back at our kennel …. and very much missing the dedicated time and attention.

This 59 lb. fellow is ‘a companion who has never met a human he didn’t like’. He has learned several commands such as sit, down. And, his zoomies are impressive - - you may think he’s part cutting horse.

Brock loves to play when he’s outdoors and, if he doesn’t have a toy, he makes one….be it a stick, pinecone or weed. Brock gives freely and instantly and you don’t have to prove yourself to earn his trust because he gives it in bulk. He only wants a true friend in his human. While Brock sleeps quietly all night outside his crate; but, his perfect bed is nestled and snuggled alongside his human in the human bed.

‘Peanut butter may just be the key to his heart’ said his foster mom as she provided this delicious treat most often in a kong toy. “He may try to shower with his human but it is only because he always wants to be included.”

If you're interested in meeting Brock and adopting him, please submit an application:

Born January 20, 2018, in Jordanian military base near the Saudi border, Gemma turned out to be a very lucky girl. Imported into the US in June, 2018, by a Marine who adopted her, Gemma quickly became a ‘naturalized citizen’. Sadly, Gemma’s dad was deployed again in June, 2022, so this Canaan dog came to live with a couple who lived nearby in the city and who have cared for her since June. Gemma was surrendered because city life, with all the noises, traffic and people, keeps her anxious, barking and somewhat leash reactive.

We have tested and extensively walked Gemma with four very different dogs and she has been picture perfect. She never pulled on the least, nor did she bark or act out once; Ms. Gemma did only exhibit perfect manners and completed several perfect walks on leash both with pets and walking in the opposite direction. We’ve also had this great girl loose in the playpastures with several canine companions and she’s done very well. She enjoyed the interaction very much and we believe this girl adapts quickly to most dogs. And, she rarely barks at all here at the rescue even with dogs and caregivers moving about all day. We do believe her anxious nature was brought on by being inside a bustling city where noises and scents kept her on alert.

Unlike your typical food motivated rescue, Gemma doesn’t appear to be overly intersted in treats except for bacon….oh yes….she loves bacon. Gemma, like many of our pets here, does have a prey drive so no cats or tiny dogs.

This beautiful five year old weighs about 50 lbs. and is ready for her new home. Our perfect match for her is the ‘country life’ of peace and quiet. She is very well house trained but prefers the outdoors; so, a fenced in yard is an absolute ‘must’ and a companion pet is highly desirable.

What a beautiful girl! Hoping for your forever home Gemma!!

This story makes me sad for all involved. It's definitely not what they wanted or expected to happen, I'm sure. It touches my heart because we adopted our first fur baby under similar (deployment) circumstances. 😢💗

Beautiful dog ❤️

Gives us an update when she is adopted

Rescued & ready for new home
