Here's another great action video of Callie. This little girl sure loves to play and a good stick is a favorite. Callie is an adorable and active three year old that we believe is an Australian Cattle Dog (aka Blue Heeler) mixed with some type of small breed terrier given her cute little facial features. Of course, only her DNA would know for sure. Callie doesn’t seem to be much on ‘herding tendencies’ but is active and full of energy so we do want a family invested in keeping her energy expended and her mind active.
She has not been socialized extensively; however, while she’s a little shy of new pets when she initially meets them, she warms up quickly. And, she was anxious to play with new friends after only spending a few minutes on a quick walk. Since this little jewel has been living in an apartment, she definitely will do better by having more outdoor time. She’s respectful of senior pets, doesn’t appear to have the nipping that some cattle dogs are prone to do and overall is just a great little pet with plenty of potential. She is fully housetrained. and good with kids. This 32 lbs. little cutie is eager to learn, enjoys showing off and is fairly energetic.
If you are interested in a good, medium sized companion, have the right environment, are active and eager to invest in a pet’s continued learning, please submit an application:

Hard to believe, but this little sweetie is still looking for her forever home. Please help us by SHARING this post.“Full of life . . . LOVES life!” is the description given to us by Peanut’s foster. This little 13.5 lbs., 1.5 year old is believed to have some Cheweenie in her. This spunkly little girl is as quiet as a mouse and enjoys life to it’s fullest. She loves to play fetch and enjoys all humans. Because she jumps sometimes, we recommend children be ten years or older.

Please remember that small dogs such as Peanut can live well beyond 15 and sometimes survive into their twenties. Our objective is match the right pet, right home environment and right pet. We place our pets with every intention of him or her going to their final home and enjoying the rest of their life with the human family that they adore.

If you'd like to meet Peanut and possibly be her forever family, please submit an application.

How are they with other dogs and cats ?

Together or can they be separated?

I’d love to take one for 2 weeks but I’m pretty convinced Bear has decreed that he is to be the only dog in my life.

Are they caught up on shots and meds?

Ive reached out to my retired vet, and wife, who raise shepherds to see if they have any ideas. I am afraid Sabi is too much of a handful right now to bring in another

How beautiful

Amy DePolo know any available shepherd fans?

Casey Elizabeth Hill know anyone?

This sweet girl is 9 years young and would love a peaceful, quiet place to call her home. Toni is completely housebroken and spent her early years as an indoor pet with outdoor privileges. But, when mom died with covid, she became homeless and shelter bound.

While she did go into a home and quickly became attached to her humans, the home proved to hold too much energy for this quiet, laid back, 65 lbs. girl.

We adore sweet Toni who loves nothing better than to relax, enjoy a good meal, take a walk, go for a car ride and just enjoy life. Oh, and she especially enjoys a good back massage.

This deserving girl needs a foster or forever home as she has quietly waited her turn for over a year at Godbey Creek

If you are looking for a constant, loving companion whose sole job is to love and adore her human, this may be the right pet for you. Please submit an application. www.wagtopia.com/pages/petsearch#/search/pet?id=1603700&name=Toni

Fabian came to Godbey Creek from a local shelter where he spent over 100 days. He is a little chunky monkey who, like many of us, would benefit from a weight loss program weighing in a just a tad over sixty pounds. Just five pounds would make a big difference for this handsome black lab mix whose sweet face tells you he needs a thinner frame. This fellow has settled right in and is good friends with Bruce and several other dogs here at Godbey Creek. This estimated-to-be 2-3 year old loves humans and will make a great companion pet. He enjoys playing in the pastures, getting plenty of love and attention and going for walks. Fabian had apprently wandered a several mile radius for many months and concerned neighbors had him picked up before he was hit by a car. He MUST have a fenced in yard and would love to have a playmate or canine companion.

If you'd like to meet Fabian, please submit an application. www.wagtopia.com/pages/petsearch#/search/pet?id=1728130&name=Fabian

Bruce came to us from a local shelter where he spent over 100 days. He is an absolute doll….we adore this fellow. He takes a few minutes to warm up but, once he does, he is yours. This handsome fellow is estimated to be about 1 year old and weighs about ~55 lbs. He’s doing great walking on the leash and is really coming out of his shell. He loves humans and will make a great companion pet. Bruce, who is good friends with Fabian, also enjoys playing in the pastures with his many new canine friends, sunbathing and going for walks. Bruce would greatly enjoy a fenced in yard and a playmate.

Marco arrived at Godbey Creek after being found by a good Samaritan in the woods of Forsyth County. This handsome, 107 pound Great Dane, was abandoned by his owners and tied with knots around a pole, left without any food or water. Marco also suffered from some type of ‘believed to be’ trauma below his left eye; a veterinary biopsy shows no infection.

This fellow is quite tall standing at 33" at his withers and, per the shelter veterinarian, he should weigh around 140 lbs. given his frame, and is aged at around 4-5 years old. The photos show how thin he is and we're working on getting some weight on this sweet fellow.

All this gentle and super good looking fellow wants is to be with his human, He loves nothing better than to deliver a big, wet, sloppy kiss. And, he especially appreciates a car ride. He gets along with other dogs and kids. We haven't had a chance to test him with cats yet.

If you are interested in EITHER adopting Marco OR Fostering this gentle giant, please submit an application. www.wagtopia.com/pages/petsearch#/search/pet?id=1725102&name=Marco

Thank you so much to those who have donated to help Marco! 🥰 We are grateful beyond words. We haven't received even one adoption application for this gentle giant though. Please continue to SHARE his post in hopes of finding that one, special human or family who will give him the love and security he needs and deserves. Thanks so much!!🐾🐾🥰

To the person that did this I hope Karma gets you really good 😡

I hope the cruel person who left him to suffer will suffer also thru karma, nothing with life and all that precious love and heart should be treated that way, no excuse in this world to treat any life in such a cruel way. Sometimes a pet just flat out wins the jackpot and the loveable cuddler, Barrow aka Bo, certainly won the lottery recently.

Bo’s new family wanted a pet that ‘cuddles’ and they landed a 65 lb cuddler with this super strikingly handsome fellow. Bo is half Australian Shepherd and half Australian Cattle Dog and flat out loves being with his humans, thrives on being indoors and wants to play non-stop with his new found brother Scout. Still, he and Scout enjoy their outdoor time spent in a spacious fenced in yard. Since Mom works from home and brother Scout was already house trained, Bo had no problem learning to go outside to ‘do his business’. However, he can hardly wait to come indoors.

Definitely a ‘handsy’ guy, this goofy one-year old can lie on his back for long periods playing with his new found toys and he enjoys ‘holding hands’ with his human when he’s hanging out and cuddling. Bo has learned that he dislikes baths AND dislikes being left alone.

CONGRATULATIONS TO BO and a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to his new human family!!

You are a cutie!

Handsome Brock has patiently waited his turn for more than eight months now and is anxious to find his new family and a home.

This deserving fellow is a great companion who only wants to be loved and spend time with his human and his canine friends. He loves nothing more than to take a car ride and thoroughly enjoys being indoors. Yes, you can tell he’s spoiled ………but he deserves it! “Brock is a perfect gentleman” said his foster mom as she described him.

This 59 lb., 2-1/2 year old fellow is ‘a companion who has never met a human he didn’t like’. He has learned several commands such as sit, down. And, his zoomies are impressive - - you may think he’s part cutting horse. Bo does need a fenced in yard and room to run, exercise and expend energy.

Brock loves to play when he’s outdoors and, if he doesn’t have a toy, he makes one….be it a stick, pinecone or weed. Brock gives freely and instantly and you don’t have to prove yourself to earn his trust because he gives it in bulk. He only wants a true friend in his human. While Brock sleeps quietly all night outside his crate; but, his perfect bed is nestled and snuggled alongside his human in the human bed.

‘Peanut butter may just be the key to his heart’ said his foster mom as she provided this delicious treat most often in a kong toy. “He may try to shower with his human but it is only because he always wants to be included.”

Sweet, adorable Ryder spent the first three years of his life on a chain with a plastic igloo dog house as his home year round. After two of the primary pet caregivers in the family died, Ryder was left with little daily time and attention beyond being fed and watered. His mom, who worked full time, wanted a better life for this great fellow.

Ryder has just completed his foster to adopt process with flying colors. His broad smile, fit for a television commercial, says it all……he is ONE HAPPY DOG!!

Today this happy fellow enjoys hiking with his new mom and dad, watching the neighborhood from the front windows of his new home, living his life as a fully integrated member of the home and living indoors, lounging on the back patio in the sun on nice days and taking long afternoon naps on the sofa. About the only thing he doesn’t like is the squirrels who invade his fenced in yard; and, he works hard to keep them at bay or run up the nearest tree.

The only complaint this handsome hound has is that his walks, hikes and exploring are never long enough!

CONGRATULATIONS to RYDER and THANK YOU to his new family for giving this wonderful fellow his dream home.

Chains should only be used for hauling heavy equipment; they should never be put on a living creature. I’m glad Ryder found people who have a heart and a real home to share.
